Network Security

Unauthorised access via WAN, LAN or WLAN represents one of the greatest risks to corporate network security. NextiraOne ensures the network remains secure by deploying technologies such as NAC, IDS/IPS and VLANS as well as designing in network and site resilience and redundancy.

Unauthorised access via WAN, LAN or WLAN represents one of the greatest risks to corporate network security. When unmanaged PCs are allowed unchecked network access, organisations and their data are at their most vulnerable to attack by worms, viruses and other malware.

NextiraOne integrates Network Access Control (NAC) solutions into all WAN, LAN and WLAN networks, allowing anti-virus patterns, client processes and client health status to be checked. Based on the information gathered, client devices can be updated, cleansed or rejected automatically, without user or administrator intervention.

Also critical to ensuring network security are Intrusion Detection Systems or Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). These applications monitor events on the network and compare them with a pre-defined security policy. IDS notifies your network teams and alerts you to any unwanted activity while IPS extends this to include remedial action.

When designing a network, NextiraOne ensures not only optimal network performance, but also designs the necessary level of security into the infrastructure. This can take many forms such as network segmentation via VLANs. Another key element is resilience which NextiraOne builds into the network fabric, extending to site resilience. This can be further enhanced to provide fully load-balanced networks across multiple data centres or sites.
